The E9 Quarter-Turn Compression Latch combines the proven 90-degree actuation of Southco's E5 Cam Latch series with light compression to fit a wide range of industry applications, including Bus, Rail and Industrial Machinery.
Simple Actuation and Compression
Southco’s E9 Quarter-Turn Compression Latch is ideal for upgrading cam latch applications to compression latching, at a lower price point than Southco’s E3 VISE ACTION® series provides. The E9 Quarter-Turn Compression Latch provides simple 90-degree rotation of the cam, which provides 4mm of compression when closing a door or panel. Designed with fewer internal components, the E9 Quarter-Turn Compression Latch facilitates hardware upgrades and saves assembly time.
High IP Rating
The highly durable E9 Quarter-Turn Compression Latch meets IPXX[RK1] (intrusion protection) ratings for dust and water ingress and is tested to last 10,000 cycles, making it a reliable choice for demanding environments. The new latch provides a low-cost option for customers with high IP demands, lowering the barrier to entry for applications that require a basic amount of compression.
Multiple Design Options
Available with 13 different head styles and standard cam, protected cam and roller cam styles, the E9 is highly customizable to unique application requirements. The E9 Quarter-Turn Compression Latch series is available in clockwise and counterclockwise versions, and with fixed or adjustable grip lengths that enable engineers to choose the right solution for their application.
