The First Surface Mount Multi-Point Cable Pull
While cable-operated multi-point latching is nothing new, previous surface mount actuator systems only support direct actuation or single cable pull operation. Southco’s new Cable Pull Accessory allows two latches to be released with one pull of the handle. This gives designers more freedom to position the handle where they want on the panel exterior, and provides more support for large and flexible panels, where a single latch can’t get the job done.

Remote latching also makes it more difficult for intruders to gain access to a compartment. With the actuator and latch separated, the system is more resistant to tampering, as it is difficult to tell where the latch point is from the outside.
